Gilded Age 03:37
You prayed that I would change I hoped you never would I imagined you’d be bad And you dreamed that I’d be good You said that life’s unfair These are the seeds you sow And the good times that we shared They seem so long ago I’m on my knees again A mix of hope and rage I’m kneeling at the rail again In this the Gilded Age We thought the future would be wonderful Young, naievish fools And now we suffer in silence The future made fools of us all And I’m on my knees again A mix of hope and rage And I’m kneeling at the rail again In this the Gilded Age I’m on my knees again A mix of hope and rage Still kneeling at the rail Of this Gilded Age I know, I know that things can change I see, I feel, I’m back on that stage I’m wondering what my memories will bring The encore’s here and its time to sing I’m on my knees again A mix of hope and rage Still kneeling at the rail Of this Gilded Age I’m on my knees again

My spirit leaves my body I walk through a golden mist You stand by a dancing fountain And I wonder if I exist. I’ve travelled a very long distance To meet you again But even death can’t keep us apart If it ever will…..when? You look at me with tearful eyes The fountain dances on And it’s then I know That I can’t stay for long. The mist clouds over again Doctors and nurses surround my bed And they tell me with a worried look That I was forty seconds dead. Yet, we will meet again Come what may We will meet again my love

Several Times each day I fall in love This little thing I’ve no control of Each time it’s true Each time it’s real Each girl the perfect one for me Oh my foolish heart Another romance starts I always fall in deep When a new love falls I don’t look I leap And that’s my fatal flaw Each new day filled with chances Possibility of New romances Every chance I take, judged by my heart Most chances bad right from the start Oh my foolish heart Another passion starts I always fall in deep When a new love calls I don’t look I leap And that’s my fatal flaw So My flesh is weak My will is strong Oh this foolish heart Another love gone wrong I always fall in deep Whenever true love calls I don’t look I leap And that’s my fatal flaw

Katarina 05:30
We wrote each other letters every week A private joke that passed between us I’d play your suitor on my knees You were my Imperial Russian Princess My Darling Princess Katarina My pleading letters would begin My dear beloved Katarina It was your heart I hoped to win In our game from a Russian novel You were imperious, and refined I claimed I was immobilized by passion Your beauty seared into my mind My Darling Princess Katarina In time our game came to an end My sweet darling Katarina We could no longer just pretend We exchanged letters all summer It seemed like a silly thing Our epistolary romance Raged like the Torrents of Spring Then one winter’s night we came together And dropped the game to be ourselves As I kissed you on your lips We realized what we felt My Darling Princess Katarina What was once a game became real My sweet darling Katarina The game hid what we both feel

One Day 03:29
We never spoke, but We will speak one day And then we’ll have, so Many, many things to say Who knows when and, Who knows where? One things for sure, I’ll be there and you’ll be there One day we’ll meet, like We were supposed to do And when we meet I’ll recognise you, recognise you Not a perfect world, and It will never be Don’t believe in fate Could be wrong, that’s just me Who knows the future, and Who knows the past One things for sure Love will last, love will last One day we’ll meet, like We were supposed to do And when we meet I’ll recognise you, recognise you

I can’t understand what you see in him If you really saw anything in me One is grace and the other sin In your personal Theology Once again I face the stress Of another suitor at your door Like a fleet that’s in distress We’re drifting towards a rocky shore I am just the pawn For the game you have in store The battle lines are drawn For this splendid little war You say you love me more or less I don’t believe that less is more You tell me that I must confess That’s an edict that I can’t ignore I’ve gotta exorcise this curse Not sure how much I can endure I don’t know which is worse The symptom or the cure I am just the pawn For the game you have in store The battle lines are drawn For this splendid little war Somehow I got it wrong Yet you’re the one I still adore The velvet blinds are drawn You’re a splendid little whore
